Afiri Semi-Hard Cheese
Traditional cheese made of pasteurized sheep milk
Pale yellow, cylindrical in shape with characteristic ridges, it matures for five to six (5-6) days in moulds. It has a pleasantly spicy and slightly crunchy taste when eaten raw. Suitable for fried or baked saganaki smothered with lemon.
It is accompanied by white and mild red wines or tsipouro.
